Dad, there's a jet in the garage ...
AS SEEN in the latest Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, Compagnie de Provence is where contemporary design meets natural skincare. Compagnie de Provence's Extra Pur, Bio (organic), Extrait d'Olive and Luxe collections combine glossy metallic or glass bottles, masculine typography and refreshing, natural scents, guaranteed to please the most particular of fathers.
IT MAY have been lacking the pantomime villains of Katie Hopkins or Syed Ahmed, but this series of The Apprentice has been a cracker. There have been lots of great candidates, challenges and memorable moments.
SUNDAY: The Wind That Shakes The Barley - Film4, 9pm). Nuneaton director Ken Loach - soon to impress with new release Looking For Eric - won the Palme D'Or at Cannes with this movie. Set in a British-ruled Ireland in 1920, Cillian Murphy joins the IRA to fight for freedom. Well-made but not especially moving.
Gang of girls ; 7 heaven treat of the week
TAKE four strong female actresses, put them in a beautiful location and give them witty lines to say, and the result is a great new Sunday night drama. From the makers of Bad Girls and Waterloo Road comes this fabulously funny series, starring Alex Kingston, Sian Reeves, Christine Bottomley and Vinette Robinson.
IT'S Faye and Joseph's big day in Holby City, not that long after Patsy Kensit married for real, to DJ Jeremy Healy. On-screen and off, it's her fourth marriage, so she's wearing red. Naturally it's not without incident - Faye kisses another man and there's a revelation about Joseph's dead brother.
DAVID Mitchell and Robert Webb are excellent comedians and the return of their sketch show is to be welcomed, even if some of the characters don't quite work. Expect old favourites plus new ones like Professor Death, and the difficult home life of Santa Claus and his brother.
SUNDAY: Live Darts (Sky Sports 2, 7pm). The fourth and concluding day of the UK Open at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, with the semi-finals and finals. Last year Gary Mawson of the USA lost to England's James Wade in the final.
CELEBRITY WIFE SWAP, Channel 4, Sunday, 8pm: It wouldn't make very interesting TV if they took two people who were alike and made them swap lives for a week. So you can expect the producers of this show to find the exact opposite of left-wing, feminist, lesbian Rhona Cameron. And they have - she has to share a house with stuck- in-the-1970s comic Stan Boardman, who expects his wife to give him lifts home from the pub. CELEBRITY MASTERCHEF, BBC1, Wednesday to Friday, 8pm: If you like famous pe...
WINNING this week's award for most eyecatching title of the week - and winning quite a few laughs, too - is Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire. Starring Matt Lucas as an evil despot and a buffed-up Sean Maguire (looking very different from his East- Enders days) as a swashbuckling hero, this action comedy set in a fantasy world is good, silly fun. Matt describes it as "Lord of the Rings meets Blackadder meets Monty Python".
RAMSAY Street residents can't decide whether Paul is guilty when Cass files a harassment charge. Rebecca is quick to defend him, which wrecks her relationship with Andrew. Donna moves in with her mother in a bid to unearth the truth - and by the end of the week, she's forced to make a grovelling apology.
home & away WE all knew Gary was trouble, and Roman cottons on this week when, after a night of drinking, he wakes up on the floor of a van, next to a shotgun, wearing a black ski mask. Gardy wants him to help him rob a shop - and Roman stupidly agrees, rather than calling the police. When Alf, Hugo and Miles go shark-hunting, they catch Lou's decomposed body, who, it turns out, died from a shotgun wound. That doesn't look good for Irene.
