Oo-Err! What a Carry On ; 7 Heaven Treat of the Week

OOH, matron! Hattie Jacques is the larger-than-life Carry On actress - whose secret love life was more saucy than anything on screen. Ruth Jones tells the story of the star's extraordinary private life in a one-off film.

Pick of the Flicks 7 to Watch

SUNDAY: School of Rock (Channel 4, 5.25pm). This is the film which made Jack Black's name - and he's failed to be as entertaining since. He poses as a substitute teacher at a school and turns his class into a rock band. MONDAY: Did You Hear About The Morgans? (Sky Movies Premiere, 8pm). Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker play an estranged couple, forced together when they witness a murder and the FBI hides them in Wyoming. Cue predictable comedy about city slickers out of their depth in cowb...

Funny Folk Go Live On 4

IT used to be one of ITV1's more 'edgy' shows, but after 20 years the British Comedy Awards has moved to a more natural home. Channel 4 has a reputation for risk-taking and sometimes offending viewers, not least with its recent Frankie Boyle series.

Shop Tactics ; 7 Things You Never Knew About Mary Portas

WE'RE used to Mary Portas showing shops how to take more money off customers - but now she's defecting to the other side, in more ways than one. She's moving from the BBC to Channel 4 for her new series, which champions the shopper and battles to get Britain's biggest chains to put customers first.

Drama 7 to Watch

LARK RISE TO CANDLEFORD, BBC1, Sunday, 8pm: There's much excitement in Candleford this week when a poetry competition is announced. Miss Pearl is determined to impress her handsome lodger with her verse, though Ruby considers the contest "the lowest form of vulgarity". ZEN, BBC1, Sunday, 9pm: Zen risks the wrath of his strict new boss by having a raunchy rendezvous with Tania in the office. It's a wonder he has time to rescue a kidnapped industrialist.

Sport 7 to Watch

SUNDAY: Live Super Sunday (Sky Sports 1, 2pm). Liverpool meet Everton for the 184th time in the Merseyside derby at Anfield. The Reds hold the edge with 70 wins to the Toffees' 57, though Everton won 2-0 in October. MONDAY: Live Johnstone's Paint Trophy Football (Sky Sports 1, 7.30pm). Brentford play host to Exeter City at Griffin Park, as the League One sides clash in the first leg of the Southern Area final.

This Week

home & away THE Australian soap finally returns after its lengthy break. If you can cast your mind back to before Christmas, Penn"s body was washed ashore. Alf is the prime suspect as he owns the kind of knife used in the murder. Roo finds her father burning the knife sheath in the incinerator - does that prove his guilt? Detective Robertson certainly thinks so. Plus, Liam's back in town with a new girl on his arm, much to Bianca's annoyance.

Family Feel the Heat ; Soap Watch Eastenders

THE Masoods are good at playing happy families, putting on a front when, underneath, they're a seething mass of tension and rows. They certainly look pleased at the reopening of their new curry restaurant, The Argee Bhajee. It's bound to be hot stuff and a real money-spinner, as it seems to be the only restaurant in Walford.

Coronation Street

SHALL I or shan't I steal pounds 10,000 from my nasty boss? That's the thought going through Eileen's head as she holds a cheque for work done on the factory - and finds herself paying it into her account. It's a foolish move but you can't blame her. Owen humiliated her when he went off with Liz and won't let Jason have time off to fix her roof. When she tries to claim on the insurance, saying the tram crash damaged the house, Jason ends up punching the assessor and Eileen gets desperate.
