THE family of an experienced boater who collapsed and fell into a canal said he died "doing the thing he loved most". David Baines, from Derbyshire, was on the second day of a holiday with his wife, Beryl, when he tumbled, hit his head on a wall and drowned in 3ft of water at Aston Lock, Aston-on-Trent.
