Summary

IS Ken Barlow really leaving the street after almost 50 years? Surely not! But when he hands in his notice at Roy's Rolls and leaves a farewell note for Deirdre on the dresser, it really looks like he's sailing away with Martha. Can't say I blame him, given the choice between her and Dreary.

But just as he's leaving, he's stopped by Peter who calls him a coward. Then he begins to have second thoughts. So you'd better destroy that letter then...ooh, too late! You'd think Julie would still be reeling from the news she's a Grimshaw, but she's intrigued to learn more about her new family and looks at photos with Jason. But when Eileen comes home, she tells her to leave. Eileen manages to visit her father in hospital but can't forgive him for making her friend pregnant.
