IS Ken Barlow really leaving the street after almost 50 years? Surely not! But when he hands in his notice at Roy's Rolls and leaves a farewell note for Deirdre on the dresser, it really looks like he's sailing away with Martha. Can't say I blame him, given the choice between her and Dreary.
But just as he's leaving, he's stopped by Peter who calls him a coward. Then he begins to have second thoughts. So you'd better destroy that letter then...ooh, too late!
