1 BRAD Pitt is in Glasgow, filming the zombie blockbuster, World War Z. The movie is set in Philadelphia, though Scotland's biggest city makes a perfect stand-in for the American metropolis, as it has similar streets and buildings. Better yet, it can provide thousands of zombie extras, with no need for a make-up budget. Film makers just pass a few cans of Tennent's lager round town, and bingo. Instant living dead.
2THE movie could also have been made in Birmingham or the Black Country. For less money. If Brad had arrived with his cameras in the Midlands a few weeks ago, he'd have filmed the looters for free. Mindless, souless, intent on destruction, our local zombies are poor excuses for human beings, whose only conceivable use in life could be chasing Brad Pitt for a living.
