A MAN was remanded in custody yesterday charged with the murder of a mother and her six year-old daughter.

Mark Nicholas, 29, unemployed, of no fixed address, appeared at Thames Magistrates Court charged with the murder of his 34 year-old girlfriend Nicole Batten and her daughter Ukleigha Batten-Froggatt. The bodies were discovered in a flat in Ossulston Street, Somers Town, London, 10 days ago after police forced their way in.
