POLICE were last night investigating the death of a Midland detective's wife whose body was found floating in the sea.

The 49 year-old woman, who has not been named, was discovered at Rockham Beach, off the coast of north Devon, by a passer-by on Friday morning. The Sunday Mercury understands that she is the wife of a West Midlands detective who lives in Redditch, Worcestershire.
