50/50 (15) Joseph Gordon-Levitt discovers he has a 50/50 chance of surviving cancer in this moving and funny drama, also starring Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick. ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: CHIPWRECKED (U) Our three squeaky-voiced furry friends, plus the three Chipettes, go on a cruise and end up as castaways on a deserted island. It's funny if you're 10 or under. ARTHUR CHRISTMAS (15) Funny and festive Aardman cartoon as Santa's son Arthur (James McAvoy) tries to deliver a forgotten present the old-fashioned way. The voice cast includes Bill Nighy and Jim Broadbent. DREAM HOUSE (15) Daniel Craig moves his wife Rachel Weisz and family into a new home, only to find it was the scene of an horrific murder in a film which starts out like a spooky thriller before taking a surprising turn. Disappointing. HAPPY FEET TWO (U) Fairly entertaining sequel featuring singing and dancing penguins, but not as good as the first one.
HUGO (PG) Charming Martin Scorsese 3D film set in 1930s Paris, featuring a young orphan and a cast including Ben Kingsley and Sacha Baron Cohen.
