TAKE heart all those who clamour for female ordination in the Catholic Church - nuns left us the most vivid memories of Coventry's papal Mass back in May 1982.

After the glories of that service to 250,000 of the faithful, after the magic of seeing John Paul talking to us, after receiving Holy Communion from the hundreds of white-clad priests, after hearing the hymns and the onset of fatigue from our early start, the nuns among us retained their virginal vigou r.
