A MIDLAND chef has cooked himself into the record books with the world's biggest curry - a 10-tonne chicken tikka masala.

Abdul Salam enlisted dozens of helpers to create the belt- busting treat in a 36ft long stainless steel vessel at Beacon Park in Lichfield, Staffordshire Mr Salam - who runs the cathedral city's Eastern Eye restaurant - said: 'We have used six tonnes of vegetables and chicken, one tonne of spices, two tonnes of water and one tonne of oil and batter.
