FRIENDS last night paid tribute to a Midlands father-of-two who died in a road smash near the end of a marathon charity bike ride from John O'Groats to Land's End.

Kind-hearted Graham Lees, from Barford in Warwickshire, was just 100 miles away from completing the 1,000-mile journey when he was struck by two vehicles and killed.
