War Hero in Medal Appeal

Summary


A WORLD War II veteran has appealed for help after losing his medals in Armistice week.

Fred Emeney, 89, said the five medals he was awarded for risking his life in Africa, Italy and Greece, may have fallen off his jacket in Wyken, Coventry. He said they were "irreplaceable" and he had planned to pass them to his grandson in his will.
